Walking Netball Tournament at Alexandra Sports Centre

Sunday 10th February saw around 120 ladies come together for Bedfordshire’s Walking Netball Tournament at Alexandra Sports Centre, Bedford. Joining our 6 Bedfordshire teams were teams from Essex, Hertfordshire, Bucks and The Midlands showing just how popular this adaption on the sport has become. It was a fantastic day of competition with everyone enjoying the day and embracing the spirit of the game by getting their Wiggle & Giggle on!

All the teams played 7-8 matches during the day, games were very competitive with a lot of tight score lines.  The semis and finals were particularly close games with the final match having to go to extra time after a draw. 

Bedfordshire’s Silsoe Smilers WN team took first place just narrowly beating Luton inspriations in a very touch final, which could have gone either way. Braintree took 3rd place and Hatfield took 4th place in the runner up game.
