Bedfordshire is one of the County Netball Associations located in the East Region, our Governing Body is England Netball.
 

The County has over 100 teams serving more than 1800 players with five local leagues, Bedford, Leighton Buzzard, Luton & Dunstable and the Heritage League. Bedfordshire is a strong Netball County with a history that goes back to 1956. Netball’s popularity in Bedfordshire continues to grow with players from across our Region making a significant contribution to the continuing success of the game. 
 

• With our five Leagues we have thriving Junior, Youth and Senior Netball Clubs playing across the County with both mid-week and weekend offerings. 

• We also have Back to Netball and Walking Netball offers for those returning to netball or wanting to play the game at a walking pace!

• We also have teams from Beds County playing netball in regional leagues (South and East Region).

• Additionally, we have an U15 and U13 County Player Development Programme, for our best county netball athletes, which is the first step on the England Netball Performance Pathway.

• With the other counties in the East Region we also have strong links with London Mavericks as a partner for developing players and coaches.

In this way Bedfordshire is developing and supporting netball at all ages and levels to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for anyone keen to start in our sport, return or progress.

The County Committee is a group of volunteers who give their time to the County and care passionately about netball at all levels. The committee has members representing all the leagues, officiating, performance, competition amongst others; we meet bimonthly to discuss all netball matters that may arise from members/leagues, as well as development of netball at Regional and National levels. Our Constitution is consistent with England netball’s Constitution which governs the way in which netball is provided in the country.
