GET INVOLVED: OFFICIATE

Officials play a crucial role on the court, ensuring that matches can take place smoothly. The Bedfordshire County Netball Association is dedicated to increasing the number of Officials within the region, while also fostering their growth and talent. Our goal is to ensure that we have qualified and skilled Officials at every level, ready to support our members and meet the demands of all competitions and events across Bedfordshire.

Anyone over the age of 13 can begin their officiating journey, starting with an Into Officiating course. This is comprised of a virtual session, followed by mentoring and then a final assessment. Once a qualified IO, there are opportunities to gain further qualifications to umpire higher level games, mentor trainee umpires or become an assessor.

Please find below links to the Beds Officiating Hub, and a link to England Netball's Officiating Courses.

PRIOR TO BOOKING ANY COURSES PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LEAGUE'S UMPIRING LEAD TO DISCUSS THE PATHWAY

Our County Officiating TSGs are led by Maddy Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen.

If you require assistance or advice in becoming a qualified umpire, please either reach out to your league's umpiring secretary, or fill out the form on our home page.
